Six Causes of Abnormal Noise from Vehicle Brakes !

1. Low-frequency vibration may be caused by the following reasons: excessive clearance due to improper installation of brake discs, bolts, or mounting hardware; excessive clearance between brake calipers or pads; excessive deformation of the brake disc; or damage to the brake disc. It is recommended to replace or repair the brake disc and clean and lubricate the surfaces of all components in the braking system.

2. Mid-frequency vibrations may be caused by lack of movement in the caliper pistons, uneven brake disc surfaces, improper installation of brake pads, improper installation of noise-reducing mounting components (such as noise-reducing plates or gaskets), or brake disc thickness below the recommended value. As a solution, we recommend cleaning and lubricating the caliper components, ensuring that the grinding tolerance of the brake disc installed on the hub is maintained within 0.1 millimeters, cleaning the hub surface, replacing the brake disc if necessary, and ensuring that the brake pads, spacers, and accessories are installed correctly.

3. If high-frequency vibration and abnormal noise occur, it may be due to molecular vibration of the friction material during brake disc use. In this case, we recommend replacing the brake pad assembly and checking that the accessories are installed correctly.

4. Another cause of abnormal noise is poor brake disc condition, which may lead to poor heat dissipation and vibration.

5. Low vehicle usage frequency may also cause brake abnormal noises. Moisture and dirt may accumulate on the brake pads, leading to reduced performance, increased temperature, and higher fuel consumption.

6. Another cause of the above issues is frequent emergency braking or dry braking, which may cause brake system fatigue.
